CHAPEL OF DISEASE “Summoning Black Gods”

F.D.A Rekotz

Hell!! This is my first contact with the band, and I must say that this is one of my discoveries of the year. Germanic trade mark, this is pure death metal stinky, rotten to the medulla and with strong roots into the death metal ala early Asphyx, Pestilence, Grave, etc. And all guitar riffs are driven with this ominous and obscured feeling born in the early 90’s. Indeed, all music is dark and stinky, as Pope’s anus, so, you might imagine what I’m talking about. Vocals are furious and deep, and deliver an obscured charge behind all the putrid lyrics. Guitar work is awesome, and I want to underline this aspect, because the musical structure denotes heavy hours inside the rehearsal room, and even the guitar solos have quite good composition. There are also some sprinkles of primitive thrash metal sounding here and there, and the result is quite effective. As I said before, this is one of my discoveries of the year. Ultra recommended for those old and dirty death metal listeners, out there.  – Victor Varas
