VOMITING CORPSES “Coma: The Spheres of Innocence”

This is supposed to be the reissue of the recording, which appeared in 1995, and do you know what? I must admit that I had to hear three times the entire album just to get what about them.

Coming from Lower Saxony, Germany, these guys recorded a great debut album forged in pure death metal in the most obscured, brutal and corrosive form, before they split ways and created other bands like Anasarca. If you put attention carefully, all tracks have solid musical arrangements and all instruments denote high skills because they go from complexity to ferocity, and from crude atmospheres, to ominous guitar lines. Vocalist did an excellent work and easily could close the mouth of many famous front men out there. I don’t know if we can classify this album as a jewel from German death metal scene in 90’s, considering the big amount of bands in that generation, but I’m pretty sure that this is a piece of unique death metal created by talented musicians and full of excellent explosive guitar riffs. This reissue includes the demo “Cold Blood” released in 1994 which sounds extremely violent and putrid, btw. It’s recommended for those obsessive collectors of old European death metal albums. – Victor Varas
