This is a good heavy metal/thrash metal band from Norway country. Yep, you read right: Norway. Of course everybody knows how bands from this country have influenced extreme metal, but believe it or not, we can find really good bands playing other genres.

These guys have been around since 1999 and this is their second full length album so far. It’s a very balanced mix of heavy metal, thrash metal and touches of power metal here and there. Actually, vocalist Claudius Bormuth has a privileged throat with ranges somewhere between Blackie Lawless and Peavey W. from Rage. All tracks are based in great hooks, great melodic lines and excellent musical arrangements, so we are talking about people who know what they want and how it must sound like. My favorite track is “Creatures of the Night” which is an excellent example of powerful and melodic vocals lines, holocaustic guitar riffs and a recording full of heaviness. It’s recommended for those who are looking for unknown bands in Europe doing good stuff and distinct. – Victor Varas
