I usually don’t review hardcore/ punk bands on this blog; despite is a genre I really like from years ago, especially when music is coming rabid, aggressive and rusty, if you know what I mean.

On this Split 7” we find two tracks of CHAOS ORDER, a band coming from Memphis and formed in 2011. They really impressed me with holocaustic guitar riffs, riot vocals and hyper aggressive drum set. The band has exactly the essence of hardcore music translated in modern production. Second track “The Dead Generation” reminds me a lot an old californian band called Union 13, because of fast structures and excellent choruses forged in incendiary melodies. It’s a good discovery for me. The other two tracks are from WEREWOLF CONGRESS, a band from Orange County, California which takes the music to a level of direct to the bone aggression, and fuck the world. You know anger vocals like bitings, hyper thrash/hardcore guitar riffs and poisonous structures based in thick roots of punk and rabid music. Also, I must say that there is more interest for composing distinctive sections, high caliber choruses and extremely corrosive guitar riffs. Dude, this is pure rabid rock n’ roll!! It’s a Split “7 highly recommended if you are familiar with the genre, and also if you are not!! – Victor Varas
