Album Review MAGISTER TEMPLI Into Duat

Cruz del Sur Music

Hell yeah! I remember I reviewed the first album of these Norwegians guys a couple of years ago. I’m very impressed because of high quality of epic-doom metal.

All tracks are composed with excellent guitar lines, melodic stuff and tons of hooks that make you bang your head unwittingly. This is obscured heavy metal, and it truly recovers the essence created big names like Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, etc. I really love this piece of lugubrious metal, as vocalist Abraxas d’Ruckus has a high octane throat and definitely he knows who to use it. It seems like he is a big fan of Ronnie J. Dio, and I admit that every note moved me inner fibre to the core. My favorite one is “Horus the Avenger” which is a great song that takes you into an epic trip into a sonic world. This is one of the best releases of the genre this year. Again, if you are already tired of the Casper and mainstream fashionista music, this is a really good option, even better. – Victor Varas
