Album Review TYRANT GOATGALDRAKONA Horns in the Dark

Caverna Abismal Rec. and Blood Harvest (Vinyl Ed.)

This is a great piece of obscured death metal forged in occultism and high doses of rottenness. Formed by two members from Ahriman, Coffinborn, Mörbid Carnage, this band delivers excellent death metal with influences of the most classic side of the genre.

All tracks have extremely well done guitar riffs and ominous structures, based in chaos and holocaustic miasmas. Actually, they added bestial elements in some specific points, where the band created good balance between blast-beats and thick-slow parts. Vocalist Lambert Lédeczy made an extraordinary work, and he truly captured satanic and deep growls like possessed. My favorite track is “King of the Desert (Malkum In Rex)” which recovers the true essence of morbidity and infernal atmospheres made sound. This is quite excellent debut album forged in death metal at its best, but it was released in 2013. Hopefully the band will launch a new dark opus soon. Meanwhile, this is a top ten recommendation for those old skulls worshipers of sinister death metal, coming from East Europe. – Victor Varas
