BUKAVAC “All that is of the Earth”

Black Lion Productions

This is a one-man project of black metal with some peculiar characteristics.

Coming from North Dakota, this guy seems to be involved in extreme metal music for a long time, as he composed a very solid debut album forged in introspective thoughts, high doses of obscurity and ominous atmospheres. Actually, all tracks sound mid pace and based in atmospheric guitar riffs. It combines basic tunes and aggressive stuff in heavy mood, highly influenced by Black Sabbath air and repetitive structures. If you ask me, this guy is forging a good black metal entity with tons of ideas and compositions, but we should wait a bit more to know the real capacity, as for moments the album sounds soporific and boring. Anyway, this piece of black art seems to be growing musically speaking and I’m sure it will release something better in the near future. – Victor Varas
