Album Review X PUS Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth

X PUS “Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth”

Metal Scrap Records

This is a quite bestial and obscured form of satanic death metal with recurrent doses of black metal atmospheres.

Coming from Lombardy, these guys composed a very decent debut album highly influenced by the most chaotic and powerful side of the genre. I really liked it because the production is more focused in transmit obscured miasmas and cathartic sections, than shiny musical skills. Yep, they recall me a lot South American old entities, but they know how to take advantage of sinister guitar riffs and ultra-aggressive vocal lines. The result sounds brute, rude and holocaustic. Vocalist Luca Arnoldi did an excellent work and he delivers destructive lines through cavernous screams. It seems like he has been part of underground metal scene since a lot of time and everything is tied by good taste in extreme metal music. It’s a solid debut album that deserves your attention if you are into satanic death metal with complex elements and bestial vocals. – Victor Varas
