MISSA MORTVM “Et Lux Perpetua Luceat Eis...”

Satanath Records

This is a great piece of darkness coming from Santiago, Chile. It’s nothing less than a debut full length album forged in misanthropic and destructive black metal, highly influenced by Nordic old sound.

Actually, the main mastermind is a guy called Ots, who composed all music, with good roots and knowledge in the most infernal side of the genre. This is a band that has live musicians from other great bands like Gates of Tyrant, Necrodaemon, Funeralis, etc. and recovers the essence of black metal music with excellent guitar riffs, holocaustic sections and good doses of chaos. Actually, everything is tied by excellent musical arrangements, but this dark entity reinterpreted the obscurity in music, and added sinister lines with high octane guitar riffs. Did I mentioned, all lyrics are sung in Spanish? This new born beast has black blood in the veins and for now, it is one of my favourites from South American black metal scene. It’s highly recommended for those who are looking for authentic gems in underground metal scene. – Victor Varas
