TBP “Universe of Emotions”

Zeta Factory

When I played for the first time this CD I didn’t know anything about the story behind the TBP project. The music spoke itself and transmitted me a great amount of quality guitar riffs into sophisticated progressive metal, all influenced by modern sounds, clean production, etc. You know, the heritage coming from post Deep Purple era, King Crimson, mixed with progressive metal style ala Dream Theater, Procupine Tree, Liquid Tension, etc. I’m not really a fan of this genre, but I recognize that not everyone can play this kind of music, and is the most artistic, complex and academic (to say something) side of rock music. When I researched about the project, this really surprised me because Mario Contarino, the main composer and producer was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy since he was 5 years old. And he composed, performed and recorded this piece of Diamond by using a PC and tons of technology. Oh man!! This is incredible, and I have no more words to say. I’ll just sit here and let the CD finish over and over again, until my mind and my heart feel satisfied of powerful emotions, coming from the PC speakers. If you feel you get connected to music, no matter the genre, you should buy this CD. It’s awesome! – Victor Varas
